Self-Esteem & Identity
If you’ve spent a long time feeling like you’re not good enough, not clever enough, not attractive enough, not successful enough, you’ll know how tiring it is to carry that voice around with you. Low self-esteem can colour everything, from the choices you make to the way you treat yourself.
You deserve to feel good enough
Living with low self-esteem
Low self-esteem often starts early. Maybe you grew up in an environment where you weren’t valued, or where love felt conditional. Over time, you might have learned to put yourself last, to avoid taking up space, or to believe that other people’s needs matter more than yours.
It can show up as people-pleasing, perfectionism, difficulty accepting compliments, or a constant feeling of not being enough. Sometimes it’s at the root of anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties too.
How therapy can help
In our sessions, you’ll be met with genuine warmth and acceptance, just as you are. That might sound simple, but for many people, it’s a powerful experience to be truly seen without judgement.
Together, we can explore where these beliefs about yourself came from, and gently begin to challenge them. Therapy won’t turn you into a different person, but it can help you build a kinder, more honest relationship with yourself.
