OCD
OCD is so much more than wanting things to be tidy. It can be deeply distressing, with intrusive thoughts that won’t leave you alone, rituals and compulsions that take over your day, and a constant, exhausting cycle of anxiety. If this is your experience, you deserve support that takes it seriously.

What OCD can look like
OCD involves unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) that cause intense anxiety, followed by repetitive behaviours or mental rituals (compulsions) that you feel driven to perform to relieve that anxiety. The relief is always temporary, and the cycle starts again.
It might involve checking, counting, cleaning, seeking reassurance, or performing rituals in a specific way. But OCD can also be invisible to others, involving intrusive thoughts about harm, contamination, or other distressing themes that you carry in silence.
How therapy can help
Talking about OCD can feel frightening, especially if you’re ashamed of your intrusive thoughts. In our sessions, you can share whatever you need to, without any fear of being judged. I understand that intrusive thoughts are not a reflection of who you are.
We’ll work together to understand what’s driving the anxiety, and to explore the feelings that sit beneath the cycle. Having a safe, compassionate space to talk can make a real difference.
