Burnout
Burnout isn’t just being tired. It’s a deep, bone-level exhaustion, physical, emotional, and mental, that doesn’t go away with a good night’s sleep or a week off. If you’re running on empty and can’t remember the last time you felt like yourself, it might be time to talk to someone.
You’re running on empty, and that’s not sustainable
Recognising burnout
Burnout often creeps up slowly. You might have started out passionate and motivated, but gradually the demands became too much. Now you feel drained, cynical, detached, or like nothing you do makes a difference. Even the things you used to enjoy feel like a chore.
It’s not just about work, either. Burnout can come from caring responsibilities, parenting, studying, or just trying to hold everything together for too long without enough support.
How therapy can help
In our sessions, you don’t have to perform or achieve anything. You can simply be, and that in itself can be a relief. We’ll explore what’s led you to this point, what you might need, and what’s getting in the way of rest and recovery.
Burnout often involves deeper patterns. Difficulty saying no, a need to prove yourself, or a belief that rest is lazy. Understanding these patterns can help you find a more sustainable way of living.
